Haha! I was thinking something was off! Black-billed Cuckoo is North Carolina would be a nice find this time of year! A female Sunbird would be what it is, but I'm not familiar with the African species, and there are quite a few (36) in Kenya.
I misled you - apparently, I forgot to change the site to Nairobi, Kenya, which is where this was taken. Sorry!
Nice find! These are hard to come by.
Black-billed Cuckoo, with that distinctively long mandible dull brown back and wings and the noticable two-tone iris I highly doubt it could be anything else.
I think it may be a sunbird, but I'm not sure. Couldn't get a good angle for a shot.
