Field Notes

Habitat:

High altitude river bank. Humid and thick forested remote place.

Notes:

Dzongu described earlier, is a remote place in North Sikkim, entirely inhabited by one race, namely Lepchas, the primitive tribe of Sikkim. Modern 'developmental' (mainly hydro-electric) projects are being pressed into the region, but resisted. I particularly went looking for this and some other butterflies in the area. Got quite rewarded, I should say!
