Description:

Known as tarantulas, popular name which originated from an Italian legend that people who were bitten by these spiders would have to dance music, the "tarantella" to survive the poison.

Habitat:

This genus occurs in Central America and South America.
Rainforests to arid.

Notes:

This specimen from the "Parque Zoológico de São Paulo"
