Field Notes

Description:

Are opportunistic and generalist predators and can consume vegetables, arthropods, other vertebrates and carrion. All species of the genus have part of the distribution in Brazil.

Habitat:

South America
This specimen was found in an ancient site of my grandfather. He was next to the pump water.

Notes:

Beware the tail. He uses it as a whip....
The lizard was about 1.40 m. From head to tip of tail.
