Description:

Gray lizard with light spots. This specimen measures about 1.20m and was crossing a road surrounded by forest.

Habitat:

Mata Atlântica Rain Forest

Notes:

Its scientific name was given in 1648 in honor of the indigenous group of the same name that inhabited the region.
