Your ID seems spot on. I took the photo at the California Academy of Science butterfly exhibit where they had specimens from all over the world.
Was this spotting made in a butterfly exhibit? It does not matter, but it would help to know so one could make a positive Id. I suspect this is a Tiger Longwing and if this was at a butterfly exhibit at a museum or a zoo, I would feel much more confident with my id. It could be this is a butterfly that ventured a bit to far north.
