Field Notes

Habitat:

This Tortrix moth was spotted in our front garden at 6:57 a.m. It was resting on the side of a clear plastic container full of dried leaves which were being used as fertilizer.

Notes:

I think that this moth belongs to the Genus Archips. It looks very close to an Archips podana (female) in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archips_podana... but it is not exactly the same. It is also similar to one of the 15 moths, labelled "Archips sp." displayed in https://philepidoptera.wixsite.com/moths/tortricidae-tortrix-moths.....
