-37.8986, 145.312
Field Notes
Description:
About 15 mm long, this purplish-grey worm had a flat pale underside and a rounded glossy body which was slightly thicker in the middle. The body narrowed to a thin rounded tip at either end.
Along the upper side of the body and extending through the whole length of the body was a broad median yellow band which was split into three segments by two narrow thin red lines.
It was difficult to make out the head.
Habitat:
Found near a pot plant - urban garden.
Notes:
These terrestrial flatworms feed on small snails, slugs and woodlice. A very interesting find for me.
family: Geoplanidae
