Field Notes

Description:

Very small fly, body about 3 mm in length, white spots on wings

Habitat:

Spotted in my desert garden, flitting around the gravel on the ground nearby to plants that had just been watered, would crawl around quickly then fly a couple of inches, one was burrowing under the gravel
