Field Notes

Description:

Very long and wide antannae, very big and hairy head and shoulders, light tan wings with a swhimmering fringe . Some mottled dark brown markings with 2 larger almost square like marks on both wings.

Habitat:

Attracted to the lights on the back deck of a night .

Hmm that one is not in Australia. Let's have a look...
Ok i think i have it ...going by pattern placing and the fringing on the edge of wings . Added a link :)
Maybe a noctuid.. armyworm type try agrotis and remember they can vary shade and colour a lot so fix on pattern placings.
