They are spreading like crazy! Starting the second budding cycle of the season so more pretty blooms to come.
I have suggested a scientific name for you that narrows it down to genus. Since this plant is a cultivar, it is most likely a crossing of many different species and subspecies of Viola. I think it may be impossible to find a specific species for you, although usually when you buy them, they come with a little fact card that tells about the plant, such as scientific name, pH level, sunlight needed, etc. Hope this helps!
