Field Notes

Description:

I believe this is a Vivid Dancer. I'm unsure if this is an immature male or a female. The second image shows the most detail. The eyes are foggy gray, body is gray and there are black triangles along the side of the abdomen in between the black bands at each segment. The thorax has a thick black stripe down the center and a thin, broken one on each side. Wings are narrow and light in color.

Habitat:

Grass on steep hill next to creek at Blue Sky Ecological Reserve
