Description:

An assassin bug, shown here in its adult form, about 3 cm long. Cogged wheel-like feature on the dorsal side of its thorax. Careful - these guys can deliver a very painful sting!

Habitat:

Found on underside of American sycamore tree sapling leaves in open grassy field.
