Field Notes

Description:

Salamander with very small limbs, so it resembles a (very long) worm. This individual is approximately 20cm long.

Habitat:

Found under leaf litter in suburban garden

Notes:

I believe the small limbs mean it belongs to the genus Oedipina (there are 3 genera of salamanders found in Costa Rica).
