Description:

Small sub-shrub in the Buttercup (Ranunculaceae) family. Flowers are small, reddish purple

Habitat:

Large population - dozens of plants, found on hillside of deciduous woods.

Notes:

Native to NE US. These plants were possibly cultivated and escaped, preserve was once an estate.
