Zoo Miami CS

The Pine Rocklands of South Florida and the Caribbean is a highly biodiverse and globally imperiled ecosystem. It is host to a multitude of state and federal imperiled species. This mission hopes to document the amazing abundance of diverse flora and fauna that exist in the remaining fragment in hopes it will raise awareness, appreciation and protection for this habitat.

Document through clear photos any flora and fauna that is native to the pine rockland ecosystem. A good guide to identification of plants can be found at the floristic online database at the Institute of Regional Conservation website. A good arthropod guide is BugGuide.net.
