Photograph an organism on the GA campus.
Organism = plant, animal, fungus, protist
GA campus = Preserve/wetlands, Academic Courtyard, Woods, Wissahickon Creek, Veggie Gardens
The House with the most unique organisms, representing the most biodiversity, wins!
Multiple photos of the same species (ex. red maple tree) only count as one entry.
Photos deemed not taken on the GA campus will be disqualified.
The Nature Program at Germantown Academy is designed to help the community know and appreciate the environment, to understand why it should be protected and to encourage teachers to explore the campus' abundant natural resources with their students. In addition to curricular support, program offerings include, the Green Ambassadors club in each division that supports green initiatives throughout the school and community days where students, families, and faculty come together to help maintain our outdoor spaces. The Nature Program Blog was created to share the wealth and breath of outdoor programming in the Green Roof and Apiary, The Preserve, The Academic Courtyard, The Woods, The Wissahickon Creek, and The Gardens.

2. Sign in as Student with the username & password given to you by your adviser.
If you forget your username & password, see me ([email protected]) or your adviser.
3. Photograph a plant, animal, fungus, or protist on the GA campus, which includes the Preserve/wetlands, Academic Courtyard, Woods, Wissahickon Creek, and Veggie Gardens.
Don’t disturb pond and creek ecosystems!
Avoid poison ivy!
4. Upload the photo to Project Noah: Campus Wild Project
Select Upload a new spotting
Click “+” = upload photo of organism
Select category = plants, mammals, birds, reptiles, fungi, etc.
Enter common name = (top of page) what you think the organism is
Enter Habitat = Preserve, Academic Courtyard, Woods, Wissahickon Creek, Veggie Gardens
Select mission (right side of page) = US House Campus Wild Project
Check Content Ownership = acknowledge that you took photo
Select Save Changes

To look at your house’s organisms, click on Education
then Go to My Classroom
Click on spottings

Competition starts NOW and ends on Saturday 10/24 on Preserve Day!
