Ethiopian Wolf

Documenting the populations of the Ethiopian Wolf (Canis simensis) - the world's most endangered canid species.

Currently a little more than 500 of these animals have fragmented distribution area in the highlands of Ethiopia - one of the most densely populated countries in Africa. While Ethiopian Wolves are being frequently seen and photographed by people visiting or working in Bale Mountains National Park, spottings of them in other parts of the distribution area, particularly outside of national parks are very rare.

With this mission we want to build a collection of records and images of Canis simensis from all parts of its distribution area, and of animals and flora that share the habitats with it.
