Description:

Orange apothecia with gray thallus covering a large swath on this branch, wrapping around over half the diameter of the branch. The apothecia were a brighter orange on the rim, becoming almost brown in some cases in the bowl of the apothecia. Many other lichens were also present on this tree.

Habitat:

Florida Swampprivet tree (https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/355901438) Chassahowitzka Salt Marsh Trails. This part of the trail was very wet, and had lots of saw palmetto and some other water-tolerant plant species.
