Bright red on predominantly Oak trees.

Habitat:

Hardwood forests areas upland from (but not far) from swampy areas.

Notes:

This spotting was observed on a Botany Hike this date at Brooker Creek Preserve in Pinellas County, FL.

Possibly Red Blanket or Baton Rouge by common name.
