Field Notes

Description:

There's quite a mix of plants growing under that discarded plastic bottle; one is the fleabane. My husband worried that the plants would not survive the shock of having the bottle removed, but they weren't going to survive underneath it either so I freed them. Can you tell from the second photo how wet they were? This area received a small amount of rain several weeks ago.

Habitat:

spotted in a coastal desert wadi in Nabq Protected Area

Unfortunately, not the first time to spot something like this in our desert wadis. :-(
