Field Notes

Description:

In an unusual position on top of a huge, barkless, sunlit pine log. Cluster was about 25mm across and 18mm tall. Very fine black wires inside translucent, pinkish jelly with yelowish spherical frog-spawn heads. :)

Habitat:

On a very large log of Pinus radiata in a local nature reserve adjoining a national park. The log was placed as landscaping and the species is not allowed to grow in the area.

Notes:
