Field Notes

Habitat:

This specimen was observed in a County nature Preserve and had been blown from most likely a Pine or Oak tree from a previous night's high wind from a front that moved through the area. The area where it was found is a mix of trees consisting of Pine, Oak, and other growth. Shade is heavy and the trees are tightly growing together. There is a high concentration of various types/species of lichen in this area.
