Field Notes

Description:

I was about to take a break from gardening/black flies and the baking sun, when I heard a barking dog on the road-front. I went to see what it was and it was the Blandings Turtle, for the third year in a row now.
The neighbour and I took a quick picture and I sent her on her way.

Habitat:

-pond to pond
-Green River
-Forest/Swamp

Notes:

I estimated the size of her; a shell height of 25cm, and a length of 30cm.
-Long living turtle species.
