Description:
Saw a lot of these guys on an island off of Southern Belize. Males can grow to 6 cm with females only reaching slightly smaller sizes of about 5 cm. This particular male was one of the largest (and prettiest) that I've seen.
Habitat:
Native to Cuba, the Bahamas, and throughout the Caribbean, the brown anole was introduced to the U.S. in the early 1970s and is now found in Mexico, Florida, southern Georgia, as well as isolated populations in Texas and California.
