Field Notes

Description:

Lichen with a white thallus and black dots in what I think are perithecia. There is orange all over, but there was also this orange color on one of the other nearby lichen species so I suspect it may just be some stray Trentopholia algae.

Habitat:

On a tree covered in lichens near the trailhead of the Chassahowitzka Salt Marsh Trails in the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge

Notes:

Ocellularia? Pertusaria?
