Field Notes

Description:

A very appealing pale green lichen with some lime centred cups and interesting small blue bits (pic 3). The last picture shows the very foliose version at one end of the host timber. 'Leaves' approx. 75mm long.

Habitat:

On euclayptus stick in wet eucalyptus rain forest. National park.

Thanks Arlanda. I found some on mangrove stems yesterday - only several centimetres above high tide level. I would have thought salt water would be the death of lichens... so much to learn then. I will post them soon.
