Description:

I call it ElvisHair fungi :-)
Blackblue fungi growing at our old wooden table leg. It looks like it is made up out of seperate strands. Very gorgeous! This big patch was about 13 cm in lenght.

Habitat:

Phuket, Thailand, during rainy season,

Never seen anything like this before. GORGEOUS

You could leave it in fungi. They used to be classed a fungi and they certainly 'share' the same types of environments. Great things to read about though. You might like to look at the ones on Flickr - incredible structures and variety of colours. http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=slime%20mold

...oh technically not a fungi btw but most people are putting them into that category (they are actually Amoebozoa :-)
Beautiful find Muckpuck. This is some species of Stemonitis - a slime mold. It would change it's appearance fairly quickly and maybe gone in a day or two. Excellent.
