Description:
Whitish thalle, about 10-12cm across, with blackish slightly raised apothecia resembling some writing signs. Pic N° 1 and 2 were taken on a living tree, and the thallus look greenish - I guess some algae are responsible for it. Other pics are from discarded branches.
Habitat:
Found growing on the bark of birch tree, both living and decaying, in a lowland broadleaved forest in Geneva lake valley.
