Description:

Tapioca slime is a white mass, producing large, whitish, tapioca-like foam. Found throughout North America.

Habitat:

This tapioca slime was spotted in the forest on dead wood at Pocomoke River State Park, Pocomoke City, Maryland.

Hi mary.. Brefeldia maxima is a plasmodial slime mold in the Amoebozoa kingdom and not related to fungi. It should be in 'Other' category.
