Field Notes

Habitat:

It was growing out of a pine stump at 8,373 ft elevation.

Notes:

The first two picks were taken 51/2 hours before the last. In that time it's appearance had totally changed . It was deflated and oozing red liquid in the last shot.

Fuligo septica

Thanks Mark. I have posted Fuligo septica spottings from Tallahassee. This one wasn't as yellow as those. Since I am not confidant at identifying slime molds. I decided to not identify it to species.
