Field Notes

Description:

A colony of sporing bodies of a slime mold showing multiple bulbs on each stalk and some older expired examples.

Habitat:

Wet ferntree gully in a forest of tall eucalypts.

Notes:

It is cold at this altitude and there was some snow about.

Species ID Suggestions

Thanks Leuba, I think that the white spikes represent expired spore bodies. Mark, I am not sure that multiple heads are in this genus but my other spotting seems to fit. Thanks LuckyLogan, I have joined the club ;)
