Field Notes

Description:

A fungus that was light green in color. It was spread out over an area roughly 14x28 cm. There were other spots on the same log that had a few, or perhaps I should say "a start."

Habitat:

These were found on a fallen tree in a clearing in secondary forest growth in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador.

Thanks for the lead Machi. I was at a dead end. I'm going with the Common Greenshield Lichen (Flavoparmelia caperata). While Wiki doesn't give its range, the other link in the Ref Box does put it in Colombia, and that's probably close enough.
This is a lichen, maybe Flavoparmelia sp.
