Shaving brush fungus
Trichocoma paradoxa
46.3899, 20.2821
Field Notes
Description:
"A saprophytic fungus which starts off as as fuzzy white/yellow mass, the fruiting/spore-bearing bodies develop as long brown "hairs" - giving this fungus its name. Lightly brushing the hairs of this fungus releases the spores. Found on old trees and dead rotting logs - actually quite common though not often seen unless you know where to look." (by Asterope)
The thin, silky filaments were full of brown spores and made my fingers painted as I have touched.
Also note the smaller, immature 'unit' on the upper part of the image with filaments still bond togeteher.
