Description:

Pink Earth Lichen is found on sterile soil, as in roadcuts and ditches, in most termperate regions. The gray thallus produces flesh-colored (pink) fruiting knobs on 0.2 inch stalks. Cottony fibers fill the knobs.

Sterile soil
