Description:
Medium sized bird, some 20cm in length, typical thrush. Brown above with yellow bill, grey breast and striped throat. Whitish slightly striped belly with rusty-coloured flanks.
Habitat:
This thrush is widespread and very common within its range, and the only resident thrush throughout the most of it (some overlap in eastern part of the range with Mountain Thrush). Commonly found in woodlands and forest edges, but also very often in urban settings and in gardens. Here, in residential urban setting of central Minna - the capitol of Niger State of Nigeria.
Notes:
Observed with a flock of Piapiacs, on a small pile of garbage (mainly plastic of course...)
