I spotted this cicacda on my tent. I was camping on Clarence mountain. I went for dinner and came back an hour later and here was this cicada molting right on my tent! It was a amazing to see it go through the whole process. It was on my tent for almost 5 hours. I was camped under a mango tree which, after some inspection, had at least half a dozen empty cicada shells. I think its safe to say this guy was heading for the mango tree but landed on my tent.

thanks. there were plenty of cicadas around camp but they were difficult to photograph, flying away as soon as you approached the tree they were on
Amazing! I love cicadas, they're so interesting. It would have been cool to see what colors this guy solidified into.
