I will copy a link to the blog of my sister Isabella (of PNoah), here you will see 5 kinds of JARAS. http://marmenorenclave.blogspot.com.es/2012/03/las-jaras-cistus-en-el-mar-menor.html
It is true that his name is white cistus. I have two spottings prepared jara both are white, but one will be pink and one white.
Gracias arlanda, I have added the blanca, the rest I will leave in the comments.
Beautiful! Just notice that the complete spanish name is jara blanca or estepa, to diferenciate it from Cistus laurifolius (jara or estepa de montaña) and Cistus ladanifer (jara pringosa)
Eulalia, thanks for the ID, I have updated the page. We are spending a lot of time in the marshes at the moment as there are lots of migrating birds passing through.
Coincidentally I've been in Sierra Calderona last weekend and I also photographed the jara :)
