Field Notes

Description:

It's their job.

Habitat:

spotted on a side road close to the river

Notes:

I drove by these birds and simply stopped in the road and rolled down my window. They looked up briefly then went back to their work. I was maybe six feet away.

Appreciate the compliment, Ariana. (would it be vain to 'favorite' my own photo? It is one of my favorites.)
Your second picture is amazing! I love the composition.
