Field Notes

Description:

Foliose lichen of grey-green color. Easy to identify due to the net-shaped white lines (pseudocyphellae) that cover the lobe surfaces. The anverse of the lobes is dark brown, see pic. #3. It is widespread and common on branches and trunks of trees and less often on rocks.

Habitat:

Spotted at a pine-tree forest, on top of a moss covered granite rock. Reserva de la Biosfera del Real Sitio de San Ildefonso-El Espinar
