Description:

Scorpion mud turtles are found in various bodies of water, from small puddles to larger creeks and rivers. They are readily identified by their bi- or tricarnate shells. Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

Habitat:

It was crossing a road and heading into an area of thick growth and standing water.
