Description:

Musa ornata or Flowering Banana is a small ornamental banana whose main attraction is its inflorescence, generally pink but varying from white to purple. The flowering lasts all season.

The pseudo-trunk is usually not bigger than 2 m, growth rapid.

Produces small edible fruit filled with seeds, pink to purple.

Habitat:

It was growing as an understory plant in a garden at Roger's Grove, Belize.
