Description:

The red fungi residing on the other lichens. Only grows on lichens, this one was found on Star Rosette Lichen.

Habitat:

Found in the Guelph Arboretum on a tulip tree.

ok, even better for me . mine where just several cm apart from lichen, and i where already rethinking the possiblity, because those weren't star lichen, but with this info from you,i got again possible. thanks katherineD
Thanks Mick! And Alex, that was actually my error, it only grows on lichens, this one in particular was on Star Rosette lichen.
thanks, that will spare me much time, i had also found some of these little pink/rosa fungi-spotts the last time. i looks very similare, does it ONLY grow on star lichen?? will remember this spotting when i upload mine.
