Field Notes

Description:

The thalli were unusually long, 7 cm or more...

Habitat:

This one covers almost entirely the trunk of a young oak.
Most sources say it grows in mountain areas, but this forest is at 100m altitude, and I saw this moss often in other forests at similar altitudes...

Notes:

Many sources say it is edible, but I didn't find yet an explicit way to prepare it... If someone can help me with that I'll be grateful.
