Rough earthsnake

This snake has a plain brown to reddish-brown back, keeled scales, and a pointed nose that gives the head a cone-shaped appearance. The back of the head is only a bit wider than the neck. Young usually are darker and have a light band on the neck. There are five upper labial scales and the belly is off-white or yellow. The male has a longer tail than a female of the same length, but the female attains a greater overall length than the male. (information from "A Field Guide to Amphibians and Reptiles of Oklahoma")
