Hi Argybee, thanks for your comments. I do agree ... I have been here for a few weeks and I already like it a lot. I wish I had enough time to feed it much more.
Hi Karen, I will try to post as many beetles as I can to this project ... that, by the way, is a truly amazing way to learn. Sometimes I will post beetles with no names, because it is really hard to find out which specie the beetle is (with around 350.000 species and growing, you never know when you got a new specie). Probably someone will tell me which specie that beetle is.
Argybee is right - you do have a wonderful collection!
As you are an entomologist, please could you provide us with some information on the species you share with us, & also add a scientific name to your spottings so that they can be linked to others of the same species. Thanks!
I am only an envious amateur Gustavo, who has only realised later in life that biology would have been a better choice than physics. Project Noah has got me going over the past few months though. The rate of learning with a system like this is phenomenal.
Interesting website and project by the way.
Hi Argybee. Yes, I am an entomologist (coleopterist) and I also run a project called BioBanco in Ecuador (http://www.biobancos.com/). How about you ? I can see you have quiet a lot of beetle pictures in your collection.
