The order coleoptera comprise the insects that we know as "beetles". According to the Wikipedia "The word "coleoptera" is from the Greek κολεός, koleos, "sheath"; and πτερόν, pteron, "wing", thus "sheathed wing". Coleoptera contains more species than any other order, constituting almost 25% of all known life-forms. About 40% of all described insect species are beetles (about 400,000 species), and new species are discovered frequently." Ecuador, is one of the 17 megadiverse countries of the World, which are a group of countries that harbor the majority of the Earth's species and are therefore considered extremely biodiverse. This mission is a really big one, because we are dealing with the biggest order of the animal kingdom and one of the megadiversity countries of the World.
