Description:

Large, long-legged bird with a red forehead, white cheeks and a long dark pointed bill.

Habitat:

Inland shallow fresh water marshes, prairies, pastures & farmlands and sometimes seen in lawns in Florida.

Notes:

I am not a wild life expert but I understand the Florida Sandhill Crane is listed as a threatened species.
