Cranes can be found on 5 continents and in the cultural traditions, mythology, and folklore of many cultures. A type of crane serves as the national bird for at least 3 countries. For this mission, include spottings of black crowned cranes(VU), black-necked cranes(VU), blue cranes(VU), brolga, common cranes (Eurasian cranes), demoiselle cranes, grey crowned cranes(VU), hooded cranes(VU), red-crowned cranes(EN) (Manchurian or Japanese cranes), sandhill cranes, sarus cranes(VU), Siberian cranes(CR), wattled cranes(VU), white-naped cranes(VU), and whooping cranes(EN). Due to conservation concerns, only give a general location for those cranes listed with a conservation code (VU, EN, CR).
