Field Notes

Description:

It is a foliaceous lichen, i.e., resembling a leaf in shape. Its colour is green-olive changing to brownish (buff) when not wet. It can grow in the form of rosette up to 15 cm. It has lobulated shape overlapping at the margins.
Underside is dark .
Apotecia are frequent, up to 2 cm, concave when young with the disk brownish-green and margin of the same colour as the thallus.

Habitat:

it appears in planifolia trees.
This one was found on a Holm oak tree
